Camp Description
Learn dance skills from the different hip hop genres. The dancers will learn mini dance routines daily. MVHS
dance coaches and alumni will be teaching at this camp. This is a great opportunity to have fun, stay active,
and work on or learn dance skills during the summer.

The Coaches
Coach CC Cordero:
CC Cordero been coaching cheerleading since 1993. She has coached and choreographed for nationally ranked cheer teams for the Mountain View Marauders, Mountain View HS and Gold Star Cheer & Hip-Hop teams as well as Worlds ranked hip-hop teams. She is currently the Head Coach for MVHS Cheer team and the Program Director/Head Coach/Choreographer for the Gold Star All-Stars and Gold Star Gymnastics in Mountain View, as well as USASF Professional Member, USASF All-Star Cheer level certified, USASF All-Star Dance certified, First Aid and CPR certified and AACCA certified.
Coach Jaelen Young:
Jaelen is an alumni from Mountain View High School, was on the Varsity Cheer team for 4 years, and Captain for 3 of those years. She is currently a coach/choreographer for hip hop and gymnastics at Gold Star in Sunnyvale, as well as dancing with Gold Star All Stars on their Worlds ranked Open Coed Hip Hop team. Jaelen is also currently working professionally in the dance industry and is represented by the Movement Talent Agency in LA.
Sample Daily Schedule:
- 8:30 - 8:50 am Campers arrive at the location of their sports
- 9:00 am Dynamic warm-up
- 9:10 am Technical skill isolation stations
- 10:00 am Technical skill integration stations
- 11:00 am Cross training: Swimming, capture-the-flag, dodge ball, relays, etc.
- 12:00 pm Lunch
- 1:00 pm Tactical skill development
- 2:00 pm Competition/Scrimmaging
- 3:00 pm Dismiss/Parents pick-up campers
