Camp Description
In this hands-on journalism week, students will learn how to find the big story and turn it into a published multimedia article on our Oracle website. Skills covered include interviewing, writing articles, photography, videography, video editing and posting the final product using WordPress. Students will work in reporting teams to investigate topics, find information, collect photos, shoot video and design journalism projects.

During the middle of the day, campers will have an opportunity to play sports, swim, or have fun in our arcade.

The Instructors
Amy Beare and Oracle Student Staff:
Our student counselors from the Oracle Publications are experienced in writing for opinion, features and news, and adept at the technology of media. In this camp, they will focus not only on journalistic skills, but also on fostering community and instilling a love for telling stories that matter.
