Camp Description
窶弩here passion meets public speaking: how to give your own TED talk窶

サソWhat is something that you care about and wish you could get other people to understand? What if you could have help developing that idea into a thoughtful and engaging TED talk? TED-Ed is an initiative launched by TED.com to help young people develop the beginnings of an idea or passion into an idea worth spreading, using curriculum developed by educators and used in schools around the globe. Students will be walked through the process of how to pinpoint their idea, even if it窶冱 only the very beginnings of an idea or a curiosity about how something works. During the course of the week students will develop their own TED talk and practice delivering the talk to their peers. All students who complete this program are eligible to then use this talk to try out for TEDxMountainViewHighSchool 2021.

TED talks are "carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused, and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder 窶 and provoke conversations that matter. A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and performances are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. "

For more information about TED-Ed at Mountain View High School, please search tedxmountainviewhighschool on Youtube or Instagram.

During the middle of the day, campers will have an opportunity to play sports, swim, or have fun in our arcade.
