Note: The football camp is a non-contact camp
Our Spartan Football Camp is an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game no matter if your athlete has experience, or has shown an interest and starting football for the first time, this camp is for them! By working with our experienced coaches and current players, they will learn much more than just football! They will be taught teamwork, self- discipline, consideration of others and how to attain their potential on the field and in life. We will also stress the importance of achieving success in the classroom and selecting the correct role models and friends. Our goal is to give each camper the finest football instruction available and a program they will never forget! There will be individual instruction for quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, offensive linemen, defensive lineman, linebackers, tight ends, and defensive backs! Our overall objective is to create a fun and enjoyable learning experience for each camper.
We will teach ball skills, passing skills, blocking techniques, stance, speed, power, increase flexibility, team leadership, confidence competitiveness and basic fundamentals of the game of football (speed and conditioning). We will work to give your child the best experience the bay area can provide!
For incoming 9th graders, the football team runs their own summer program. Please visit the MVHS Athletic Department website for more information (http://www.mvla.net/MVHS/Department/27-Athletics
