Camp Description

Session 1: Grades 4-6
Session 2: Grades 7-8
Note: This camp will take place primarily indoors in the MVHS gym.

This camp is geared to help the athlete develop good sound volleyball fundamentals. We will work through the progression of skill development ranging from passing, setting, serving, and hitting. We then will incorporate those skills in game like settings, helping them to understand how all the pieces work together. Members of the volleyball team will also assist in helping to make this a worthwhile camp!

During the middle of the day, campers will have an opportunity to enjoy our “Cross-Training” hour: They can play a choice of sports, swim, or have fun in our arcade.

The Details

This camp will run in two sessions: Jun 22-Jun 26, 2026 & Jul 20-Jul 24, 2026 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm daily.

The cost of a 5-day session of this camp is $595.99. This camp is open to kids entering grades 4 through 6 (session 1) and grades 7 through 8 (session 2) in August 2026. Each camper will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and drawstring backpack. Lunch is available for an additional fee (click here for details). Coach Katie Johnson:
Katie Johnson is the head boys varsity volleyball coach at Mountain View High School. She has been coaching at Mountain View for 5 years. Katie played volleyball at Los Gatos High School and for Vision volleyball club. Katie is a science teacher at MVHS, and a Knowles teaching fellow. Katie spends her weekdays and weekends (when not coaching), playing grass or sand volleyball.
